Myrtle Beach Golf Course Review
Black Bear Golf Club
North Myrtle Beach, SC

Barefoot Resort Courses Feeling gutsy on your golf vacation? Come out and attempt to tame "The Beast" that is Black Bear Golf Club. After going through renovations, it's hard to believe a course that you once thought couldn't get any better did. With 23 lakes highlighting its already beautiful scenery, Black Bear offers you a unique and stimulating golfing experience.

With a 72.9 course rating and a slope of 137, you may have to break out every club in your bag on these wide fairways. Black Bear has the reputation of being the hilliest course in Myrtle Beach so make sure you hit the fairways because these holes are extremely mounded.

With such a huge abundance of water, it's hard to believe that few holes require carries. 15 holes off water hazards and hole 18 is a well-executed design through the marshes. In fact, the entire backside of the course is very challenges with marshes constantly surrounding you.

Get tired of staring into backyards while you're out enjoying your day on the golf course? One of the greatest features of Black Bear is the lack of homes lining the fairways, giving the course a more natural and country feeling.

Teeing-off on 6,787 yards featuring brand new champion Bermuda grass seems like a great way to start off your golfing vacation, don't you think?
