Crown Park Golf Club
Longs, SC
Crown Park Golf Club right outside of Myrtle Beach used to be a 27 hole golfing complex. After experiencing development problems, it underwent renovations and now features 18 fantastically remodeled holes that provide golfers with an exquisite golfing experience that is fit for a king. One of the most fantastic features of Crown Park is the lack of home sites, allowing you to play without distractions you'd usually find from a residential golf course. Accompanied by an upscale pro shop, the peaceful pine forest set golf course has four sets of tees, allowing enjoyable play at all levels.
One unique feature of the course is that you can play the original holes 1 and 9 from the former Emerald nine, allowing you to play twenty holes for the price of eighteen. Extensive mounding and a rolling terrain accompany the large contoured Tif/Eagle greens. The course has achieved a pro rating of 71.2 and a slope of 125.
Hole 1, a par 4, severely slopes from back to front so you may not need your driver. For the safest shot on hole 10, iron or hybrid off the tee to the right center of the fairway. This leaves you with your short iron to accomplish the approach shot. On hole 12, a safe tee shot to the left center of the fairway is the way to play. If your approach shot is too far left or too long, you'll most likely be fetching your ball from the water.
