Arcadian Shores might be one of the Grand Strand's oldest golf courses, but it still holds its grounds as one of the toughest. Combining the best Mother Nature has to offer, the course is highlighted by sparkling lakes and looming pines and oaks. Rees Jones designed a course that is truly the test of man versus nature. Beware, there are 64 creatively-placed bunkers woven into the course, as well as dozens of lakes placed with a sole purpose: to make your play here one to remember.
Opened in 1974, Arcadian Shores is home to two of the "Dream 18," a compilation of 18 holes voted best on the beach. Golfers of all skill levels will find the course to be a perfect blend of challenge and fun. A full-functioning practice facility, golf shop, clubhouse, and grill are also all on site. Arcadian Shores is also home to a custom club maker and the infamous "Arcadian Classic Golf School." What more could you ask for?

For the more traditional golfers, Arcadian Shores, one of the strand's oldest golf courses, still stands its ground among some of the more renowned modern courses. Two of the holes on the Arcadian Shores Course were voted into the Dream 18, a compilation of the best 18 holes on the beach. Designed by Rees Jones, this classic course is very fair for all golfers and doesn't cater to a specific type of player, making it enjoyable for all golfing levels.
