With over 600 acres of natural magnolias, oaks, fresh water lakes, and marshes, Heritage Club is truly one of the finest courses in the world. Built on the site of the True Blue and Midway Plantation, this beautiful span of land is a long-standing tribute to the historical southern plantation lifestyle. Heritage Club has been ranked among the "50 Best Public Courses in America" by Golf Digest, and for good reason. This Danny Maples and Larry Young development incorporates some of the most severely sloping putting surfaces found in the Southeast. Maples and Young routed many of the holes around the already standing natural wetlands and the Waccamaw River. The sporadic placement of bunkers here and there only further developed what is now considered to be a golfing masterpiece.

After a redesign in the 1990's by Mike Strantz, Heritage now measures 7,040 yards and features a course rating of 74.1 and a slope of 142. The wide rolling fairways and undulating greens found on the course are surrounded by lush well-manicured landscaping. The course remains quite hilly to pose a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Once you finish your hard day of golf, feel free to relax at our Southern Colonial clubhouse and enjoy the beautiful view of the flowing and Waccamaw River.
