Course InfoDate opened: 1994 For visiting golfers in the Myrtle Beach area, you may be puzzled as to which course to choose to play on the Grand Strand. With such an overwhelming number of choices, Arrowhead Country Club has something the others don't. Arrowhead is located just minutes away from downtown! This allows you to avoid the busy hustle and bustle on the Myrtle Beach streets! Designed by Tom Jackson and Raymond Floyd, Arrowhead is divided into three separate nines. This course is easily one of the most difficult courses due to its mountainous feel. The challenge embedded within Arrowhead earned this 27-hole complex the 1998 South Carolina Course of the Year award from the National Golf Course Owners Association. |

Course Review
Arrowhead Country Club
After undergoing greens renovations in September of 2009, Arrowhead Country Club is ready to prove that it's still one of the toughest and most enjoyable courses on the Grand Strand. With fantastic amenities such as a tantalizing bar and grill, this well manicured course is still a favorite among many vacationing golfers who need a break from the sun and sand.
The landscaping at Arrowhead is remarkably beautiful. The recently remodeled course features Bermuda grass fairways and mini-verde greens in excellent condition. Many of the holes are highlighted by the intercoastal waterway giving golfers a very distinct and majestic view.
Arrowhead Country Club is a 27-hole golfing complex divided into 3 nines: The Waterway, The Lakes, and the Cypress. Water and sand are on at least 90% of the holes, and the Waterway and Cypress courses feature many sights of the intercoastal waterway. The Waterway 9 is the scenic favorite with the majority of its holes neighbored by the intercoastal waterway.
The course design is challenging but fair and gives you the chance to be creative and try a variety of shots. It features unique and diverse elevations and many hardwood wetlands. The Cypress course is generally the more challenging because the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th holes require carries over water. Hole 3 on the Lakes course is dogleg left par-5 of 556 yards. However, it is hole 9 on the Lakes that may give you the most difficulty.
Voted South Carolinas Golf Course of the Year in 1998 and voted Best of the Beach for four consecutive years, Arrowhead remains one of the top courses in the area to play.
